Born in Brasília, capital of Brazil, in 1982, Mário César now lives in the city of São Paulo. He works as the cartoonist of the newspaper Jornalistas & Cia and as a freelancer graphic designer. He has previously worked for the publisher Via Lettera in which he edited a comics anthology called Front and other titles such as the Brazilian editions of Bone and Love & Rockets. Nowadays he publishes his own independent magazine called EntreQuadros (InbetweenFrames) and also makes comic strips for the portal TopBlog.
